Public Liability

Public bodies and anyone who allows access to the public are legally bound to ensure that public spaces and facilities are reasonably safe. If you’ve injured yourself in a public place, perhaps tripped or had an accident owing to defective roads or equipment please get in touch. You can find out for free if you have a claim.

All companies have a duty of care to visitors to their premises, including members of the public or employees from other companies, to ensure that they are not at risk of injury while visiting them. If it can be proved that insufficient Health & Safety provisions were made; then you may well be entitled to get compensation.

These regulations cover all public places including shops, supermarkets, car park and offices for most accidents such as tripping and slipping, pot holes, highways and playground accidents.

Councils also have a responsibility to ensure that all pavements, roads and bridle paths are clear of defects and well-maintained to avoid accidents.
